Conscious Change
I confess, my word of the year is actually two words, but I couldn’t find a single word to communicate what I want to accomplish, so I guess it’s my challenge, I can make the rules, right?
This year WILL have changes. My youngest is graduating High school and headed to college – my oldest is in college and figuring out where she’s headed. I’m figuring out goals and my direction for my future and what I want while I work on that is not to let it happen to me, but to create the change. I want to be the master of my own destiny!
I ran across this book and this excerpt from it and so I have these points:
• Focus on the now
• Learn to identify beliefs
• Learn to change limiting beliefs
• Drop your belief in the past
• Imagine the future
• Listen to your inner self
• Assume you can make anything happen
This is tough stuff! However I’ve started to set goals – small and big – over 1 year, 5 years and 10 years. Something I have learned through my life is that your life rarely goes according to plan. However, I think it’s important to have a plan – just know the plan may change and morph.
I picked up a Labradorite Necklace from Solku that was titled “Transformation”. I think that’s where I’m headed. And Labradorite is especially good for reminding you that there is darkness and yet light can shine through the darkness.
Physically I have changed over the last couple of years, but I’m planning more. I had a chance to cut and paste my running pictures from the last few years and this is great to see that focusing on my health is great!

I’m also planning less specific things – more general directions and motivational items. I know that the path before me won’t be a straight one and so I want to make sure as I hit a curve that I am prepared for the criteria with which I’ll make decisions.
I want to live my life intentionally and make Conscious Change to myself and the world around me.
