Well, I’ve been stitching a lot today (and the last week) but I dont’ have my pictures all pulled together yet.
So, to entertain you while you wait, I can show you the goodies I found around the net. First, Mary Corbett’s “Needle and Thread” has a fabulous Video Library of Hand Embroidery. Neat, eh? I think you could spend HOURS there!
Then, the next thing were these little gems (found via “Feeling Stitchy”). Loving the wool with the fun embroidery, Flower Child has an Etsy store with some fabulous other items!:
Then there is this wonderful portrait. I just adore the embroidery. From Melissastanley727, I think the portrait is really lovely and well done, but when did the trend start to frame things in the embroidery hoop? Is this the purist in me that thinks this sort of cheapens the work – like it’s not real art? Ok, feel free to disagree with me. I’m just curious where that trend started.
Ok, back to stuffing my April Spirit doll for the bead journal project! Yay!
