Thanks everyone for your support of my post yesterday. Now that I have it all out (writing is good for the soul), I’m less ticked off about it and ready to move on – but everyone’s comments and suggestions were great (here and on Facebook) so thanks!
So, I was reading my morning smattering of blogs and thought I’d share a few with you….
First, Betsy-Tacy – I have no idea what these books are, I’m guessing kind of like Anne of Green Gables? But in true blog form, I now have one on reserve at the library and am going to read one. I’ve been following “Book Club Girl” as she attends the “Betsy-Tacy convention” and I have to admit, it looks like fun. Does anyone remember these books?
And then surfing around one day I discovered Trish Burr – wow! Great stuff! There’s a free pattern and her books are all now on my Amazon Wish list! She has a unique style of long and short stitch embroidery and I’m anxious to try it if the embroidery ends up looking like hers – check out the site – it’s gorgeous!
And then there’s Amy Flynn’s amazing robots – I am in love with the idea of these – the are SO cute and a wonderful use of recycled materials. I KNOW my son would love them and wouldn’t they be cute hanging on a wall? She calls them “Fobots” and they’re available on her website here.
And for those of you would like flickr -t his is the BEST list of tools and things available to use and enjoy flickr I’ve ever come across: http://www.flickrbits.com/ (really you’ll spend hours there just looking around).
Oh, and just to give her a “shout out” Sharron Boggon is back over at Pin Tangle – and if you don’t have enough to do this Sunday morning, she’s continuing her list of blogs SHE reads (with the letter E) and I have to say, this is one of the most inspirational lists ever. Yes, it takes time, but just get yourself a “reader” (I use Google Reader) and it’s easy and takes about 1/2 an hour a morning – kind of like reading the headlines!
Well there, did I give you enough to keep you distracted for an hour or two on the internet this morning?
