Tiny town that wasn’t and a rainy day

Good heavens, it’s been really rainy here lately. Normally this is “high plains” so VERY dry, but it’s been raining a LOT lately. Today, our trip to Tiny Town got rained out. This is the worlds cutest place if you have preschoolers….the buildings are WONDERful to crawl around in, they have a great playground and a fanastic little train ride. it’s all been there since the turn of the century…check out the site if you have a chance. I just realized that I’ve been blogging almost a year because I wrote about our visits to Tiny Town last year (I’m a really huge fan).
We tried to go here, but it didn’t open until 4pm (when will businesses ever learn to be open when I want them to be!)
Anyway, after driving around a bit we ended up here – Casa Bonita. A completely cheesy (the website makes it look MUCH nicer than it is), overpriced, bad food, but the kids had a blast and I have to admit for a rainy day it wasn’t bad.
So, now you all have an idea what to do with kids (or even for the young at heart!) if you come to Denver!
