Traditional Quilting…it’s a first for me

Ok, time to make peace with beta blogger (I have to say, ick!) – but I’m going to maybe be snowed in a for a few more days, so have some projects and other stuff I want to blog.
Not sure how much I blogged about it, but I took a traditional quilt class from Quilt U some time ago, and decided that my fabrics were all wrong for the project she wanted us to do (all small triangles) so lucky for me, I have a quilt client (web design) who makes fantastic simple patterns. This one is “Saved by the Square”. I did it all wrong (actually added the 1/4 inch rather than realizing it was part of it) but at least I’m consistent!
So, here’s the beginning:

We’re off to do errands this morning, but I guess we’re going to get snowed in this afternoon, so it looks like a good afternoon project to me! I’m going to use the same pattern on Missy C’s kitty quilt if I can ever finish the blocks.
