UGH! Too much to do….too little time

I’m still digging out from my Crazy quilting group meeting on Saturday and “Princess Missy C’s” royal 4th birthday on Sunday. My inlaws arrive from Australia on Saturday afternoon, so it’s a busy, busy week.

However, in discussing Jennifer Chiaverini’s books at our book club a few weeks ago, we got talking about this site: Facts vs. Myths About America’s Quilting Past. There are some interesting insights into the “Myths” we have about quilting throughout American history. It’s some good reading.

I’m itching to start a new project. I was reading about embossing velvet on Tangled Threads (which seems to not be working for some reason – Blogger must be having issues this morning) and now have a hankering to do an asian border on maybe a painted piece embellished with embroidery and beads…..hmmmm…..vision forming.

My Christmas stocking is off with Leslie having some machine embroidery added to it! Hooray, maybe I’ll actually finish it! Okay, off to tidy the house and the back to work! 😉
