April comes to a close – very orangy

And as April comes to a close, so does my April Bead Journal project (orange is my favorite color):

The charms on the back represent each of my family members and some feelings I was having at the time (yes, the Alien is DH) – it may look like hair, but it’s so much more.

And some more Brazilian embroidery – I did a bouquet of rolled roses for her to hold. One for each child and one for Rex. There’s a lot more beading on this one. I was going for a random look on the edges and I’m not sure if I adore it – but it’s scattered and not planned – which is the way I felt about most of the month – so I guess very fitting.

I really enjoyed this one and I’m excited to say I’m doing another one in the same fabric this month. One of my dear Crazy quilt friends has asked me to make one for her friend (who apparently also has my same taste in garish colors – ha ha). So, you will see a bonus piece this month.

Yesterday, my friend Dianna and I went to another Brazilian embroidery class, so later today I’ll do a post on some of the yummy new stitches I learned! (can you believe I can’t get enough of the double cast on? ha ha I bet you’ll see it on the next spirit doll! Grin)
