Bopping to the GoGos!

I admit it, I’m a child of the 80’s. We’ve been listening to Retroactive, which is a “station” that comes as part of our cable TV…it’s great. Anyway, so after that relaxing dance break, I’m back to working on this – my bag for my laptop:

That’s the “suggested” layout for the appliques, but not quite sure yet, I’m still stitching major stuff like the handle. I really like the way it’s turning out tho, but still wrestling with the *&^*%(&G;^ Sewing Machine!!! Ugh, it makes me crazy!
According to my good friend (who grew up sewing an hour a day….what a lucky girl!) my machine probably can’t handle it and I should borrow a serger, but I have an appt tomorrow and want to take it along, so I’m going to see what I can do my hand, supplemented with the machine. I do have a friend with a serger, and if worse comes to worse, I’ll borrow it!
UGH! I hate machines that make me feel stupid and inferior!
