Brazillian Embroidery class and examples

So, finally, these little blow up shots for my brazillian embroidery class. First is this nifty little flower made from bullion knots.

Bullions look really complicated, but are fairly simple – a good diagram is here: http://inaminuteago.com/stitchdict/stitch/Bullion.html (however, I do it slightly different – I’ll have to do a tutorial at some point!).

Here’s a very nice way to do a lazy daisy – with a 40 wrap bullion.

And then the leaves – just a satin stitch, but done at a very precise angle to meet thread int he middle.
I have to admit, I do love Edmar thread and it’s not horrible to work with once you kind of get the feel for it.
