Crafty weekends – a series of posts!

Note ** I have had so much going on, that I’m WAY behind on my posts, this is a post, I started two weekends ago – eek! Since then I’ve done a ton more, so the next few days will be post heavy! (brace yourselves, ha ha)**

So, the first weekend of Feb I went with my friend Dianna to the Sewing festival here – it’s fabulous for crazy quilters – full of trims and lace and fabric. The local doll club always has a competition and I LOVE looking at their entries!

Unfortunately the snow set in and I was late getting home (Dianna HAD to shop!) and so my plan had been to organize my studio -which through the holidays had become the basement dumping ground. I really hadn’t gotten it totally organized (not so I wanted to work down there) since we’d moved in. This year I’m going to make myself use my machines more and learn to love them.

The next day, I spent the entire day “digging it out”. I hauled down a shelf, organized and did a ton of sorting. It’s not all done (you don’t EVEN want to see my fabric) – but I made a lot of progress.

So, then it was back to stitching – I’ve been working on my fairy and here are the beginnings of my flower arrangement!
