Fabulous Mother’s day….some stitching news!

Well with the dawning of a new camera, I’m finally “back in the saddle” and can take pictures as I go. I have a LOT Of updating to do, so be patient with me and I promise to blog a lot this week to catch up.

This was my Mother’s Day breakfast (aren’t I totally lucky?):

A lot of crafty bloggers I know do blog some recipies and while I cook ocassionally, the fancy stuff is left to my husband who is a fantastic (you have no idea) cook. This is eggs benedict with a side of mango salsa. It was fantastic. The gift is a book about how to pamper yourself….ahhhhh…gotta love my family! 🙂 Cheyenne made me 10 Mother’s day cards, my Mom and Dad came over for a barbque….all in all a lovely day.

The day before was my crazy quilting group (aren’t I spoiled)….where we worked on a small brazillian embroidery project (you can see the kit picture on the front of our website). I absolutely spoiled myself with the purchase of a q-snap frame. This one is 17″ x 17″…big enough for my big projects. (This is my australian landscape I’ve been working on for FOREVER). Q-snaps are fantastic (if you’ve never used one)…they are like PVC with a little clip…you can use the clip to stretch or release your fabric as you stitch. I got mine from Christine (in our Crazy Quilt group)…she has them at excellent prices if you’re interested.

It’s attached to a “sit Upon” (Not sure I have that written right) but you sit on a paddle and then can adjust the arm to whereever so you can sit and work while waching TV. I’m told they are about $50, so I may have to save my pennies for that purchase:

I weighed myself for weight watchers this morning and YUCK! I think tomorrow I’ll drop off my bike to be repaired and start getting some exercise. (getting rid of all signs of candy in this house wouldn’t hurt either – oh, and as I scroll back, of course the eggs benedict were a terrible idea! 🙂 ).
