Wow, 5 years of blogging – it’s amazing to me in many many ways! First, take a look at this picture of my kids:
Now they look like this:
Our Rocky Mountain Crazy quilters had just formed and were having their first meeting. I had the worst “shopping” experience of all time AND I was just starting to work on my fairy (which still isn’t done! Sharon Boggon gave me a “shout out” on her previous incarnation of her blog – to which I was amazed and thrilled! Oh, and Arlee started her blog the day before mine – small world, eh?
I featured a tutorial on ruching – courtesy of the now blogging LouAnne.
Since then, I’ve started writing for several publications (see in my sidebar) and started my houseblog (and my first wordpress blog).
What really cracks me up is how many projects I’m still working on – sure, I’ve finished things, but the big ones are all still sitting there. I created this blog to have some accountability – hmmm, wonder how that’s working for me! (did you hear Dr. Phil in that?). Well, my list is in the sidebar -even if it’s not going anywhere! ha ha!
I think the greatest part of having a blog is what a wonderful written record it is of my life – creative, family, travels and more and the best part is all of the fantastic Internet friends I’ve made through the years – all of you who have done swaps with me, posted when I’m frustrated, given me great feedback and even given more credibility for being an expert than I deserved.
Thanks to all of you who check in regularly and here’s to 5 more years!
