Happy Spring!

Happy Spring!

Or Happy Easter…whichever you celebrate!

So, these pictures are taken with a $15 digital camera. Yep, you heard it right….$16.24 with tax…at Walgreens. There’s no preview, so you have to just take, hope and load them up! Kind of like the “olden days” when we actually waited for things to be developed! Anyway, this is a vaguely arty photo of the flowers on our table…which I thought looked very springy. Not from our yard…yet, but it’s in progress! Lots and lots of work to go on that first!

The kids went and looked for eggs today. Sadly they let all the older kids go first and there were kids with 20+ eggs and ours only got 2 each, but they actually don’t like hard boiled eggs, so that’s ok! They got TONS of candy (Matey Moo is bouncing off the walls!). Because of the “candy fest” our approach from the Easter bunny was to provide one gift each.

Rex was not pleased with my option for Matey Moo…an original star wars movie fighter – however, he was appeased when we added two bunnies to the cockpit…it made it more “Easter-y”. Missy C got a puppy (stuffed, battery operated) that makes little puppy noises. It’s cute.

Ok, no crafty photos this time…I need to probably scan most of those. I have postcards (am I supposed to keep those a secret because they are in a swap?) and my embellishments for the ornaments that we are using for fundraisers…more to do, I’ve just been exhausted!

Anyway, for the moment I’ve solved my immediate need to post photos and it’s only $16. We’ll see. I’m sure if I play around I can get better quality than these, but for experiments, they aren’t horrible! 🙂 I have some “real” photos to post next post, but just thought I’d start to get caught up!

A surprising way to cultivate contentment – I found this article in Psychology Today and thought it was appropriate. Last year my word was Carefree and I think I missed it by a mile – not all in all a bad thing, but maybe misreading my life in general. I
