My new/old TAST stitch book and a new project

I bought this fantastic mud-cloth from the flea market in Santa Fe New Mexico years ago and when I was looking to put together a stitch book it seemed like a great idea. The book is still really rough, but when I realized I wasn’t happy incorporating all the fantastic stitches for TAST into my pieces, I thought this might be just the ticket!

This is my newest project, my friend Dianna got me started doing cross stitch as something easy to do in front of the TV – my new project is a Buddha with “Purity, Strength and Truth” – I’m having fun with it so far!
