New blog (I’ve found) and life the world and everything.

I ran across Beadlust ages ago and thought I’d give you all a link to it. I love beading…wish I did more. It’s NOT been a good week for craft projects, although I’m almost done with my brazillian embroidery project (pictures to come). I think I’ve about decided that the quilt class at quilt university is NOT very basic and frankly doesn’t really lend itself to the kinds of quilts I want to do (if I do much traditional quilting at all)…it’s little teeny triangles and frankly I think my quilt would look better with a larger design.

Which brings me to what I’ve really been working on this week, the launch of a new website for a local quilt shop….Quilt Cabin. They have had an outdated site forever and so I finally stripped it down to the basics and posted just good basic info. Go over, check it out and if you’re in town be sure to visit them!

Then there’s the school shooting just near here. What a sick event. I’m not really a person for capital punishment normally, but when a sicko like that gets to carry out something like that and then kill himself it makes me feel completely ill. I hate this part of the world and it gets worse when you have kids.

A surprising way to cultivate contentment – I found this article in Psychology Today and thought it was appropriate. Last year my word was Carefree and I think I missed it by a mile – not all in all a bad thing, but maybe misreading my life in general. I
