Out my window right now – amazing what a day will bring.

Last weekend, we were driving in the mountains with the windows down, the kids were playing in the back yard yesterday and today:

Good old Colorado. Amazing what a couple days will bring, eh? Yes, that’s the forsythia covered in snow – and it’s still coming down – 16 inches predicted. The good news? We have no where to go – the kids are home on Spring break. The bad news? I haven’t been out in 3 days because of a bad cold – so I’m a bit stir crazy.

Catching up on blogs this morning, I found this great post on colonial knots on Robin Atkins blog: Beadlust: Short Subjects. The real reason I have to gush tho is – she’s coming to Denver and I’m taking her class! Yay! (thanks to Mom-in-law for the early Birthday gift!). I can’t wait. I’m sure you all know I’m a bit of a stalker when it comes to her beadwork:

I want to be Robin when I grow up! Now that I’m going to take one of her classes I might have a chance! 😉 Next year I’m going to do the Bead Journal project – it looks like a ton of fun!

A surprising way to cultivate contentment – I found this article in Psychology Today and thought it was appropriate. Last year my word was Carefree and I think I missed it by a mile – not all in all a bad thing, but maybe misreading my life in general. I
