Perfect Moment Monday – touring the lights!

One way we always cheer the holiday spirit is by driving around and looking at everyone’s fabulous Christmas lights. This year I took a map from the Denver Posts’ Holiday Lights Map and we used that as a way to find the “sights”. We went to a lot of wonderful displays (a few that weren’t on the map – notably the corner of Kipling and Independence, right across from Standley Lake Library) – but we ended on a fabulous note, this house:

1188 Clubhouse Dr.
Broomfield Colorado 80020

Where the decorations are so great people get out of their cars, and the LOVELY gentleman from the house comes out and hands out “fresh” candy canes from Santa – totally a treat for the kids.

On the way home, we hit:

Daddy’s Crazy Christmas Lights

6330 W. 110th Place
Westminster Colorado 80020

Where we got to enjoy Christmas lights timed to music. So cute! Rex of course had to come home and Google how to do it, with he and the kids making plans on how they’d convince our entire culdesac to get in on the act (not sure that’s possible! ha ha)  The best part of that display was the following song which was really fun to watch and great to hear:

As my daughter has pointed out this year, the holidays are all about spending time with family and we had a WONDERFUL time out driving around!
