Word of the year: Bloom

So, after careful thought, my word of the year (see Christine Kane’s fabulous post) is:

Bloom:

Definition: flower; flourish
Synonyms: be in flower, bear fruit, blossom, blow, bud, burgeon, burst, develop, effloresce, fare well, fructify, germinate, grow, open, prosper, sprout, succeed, tassel out, thrive, wax
blossom, blossoming, bud, efflorescence, floret, flourishing, flower, floweret, opening
Antonyms: shrink, shrivel, wither

All I can say, is it’s about frigging time. I feel like I’ve been paddling and keeping myself from sinking for forever. I’m tired. Tired of “just getting by” – do you know what I mean?

So, it really didn’t take long for me to decide my word for this year. For those who haven’t kept track, this is my 3rd year of doing this (check in my sidebar for past years “words and results”) and I really have found it a wonderful way to keep focusing myself throughout the year.

We’ve made a ton of changes this year and I really look forward to moving forward and “blooming” where we’re planted!
